Delay Email Message Delivery until a Given Date & Time

Description

You can compose an email message now but delay delivery until a designated date and time.  Your message will either sit in your Outbox folder or on your network server post office until the date and time you specify.

From a New Message Window

  • Click the Options button located on the Standard Toolbar

  • Click the check box to turn on the Do Not Deliver Before option

  • Set the date and the time that you want the message to be sent

  • Click the Close button to return to the New Message window

From the New Message Window

  • When you are finished composing the message, click on the Send button 

    • If you receive your Outlook email via an Internet Service Provider, then your message will sit in your Outbox until the first time you click Send/Receive after the designated date & time. 

    • If your Outlook is set up on a network server, then your message will sit on the server post office until the designated date & time.
