Description

Have you ever starting working on a new worksheet and then realized that you should have made the columns be the rows and the rows should have been the columns?  There is a simple way to change your columns to rows & vice versa without starting the worksheet over from the beginning.

In a Microsoft Excel Worksheet

  • Select the cells in the worksheet that contain your data, column headings and row labels

    • Do not select the worksheet headings which are normally in the first few rows of the worksheet

  • Click the Copy button located on the Standard Toolbar

    • Or, on your keyboard depress the <Ctrl> + <C> keys

  • Move the active cell to a blank section of the worksheet

    • Or, move to a clean sheet tab

  • Menu Path
